They've really taken off lately- and with good reason. I mean, a slice of cake is usually just too much. And it's messy. CUPCAKES are the perfect size and so self-contained!!
I found these on Cherrapeno's blog- I am thinking about trying my hand....

A little piece of my industry
Why do I love this television ad so much?
I think it just really makes me long to make out in a bathtub, blow some purple glitter in someone's general direction, and fall backwards into a swimming pool fully clothed.
Very stylish.

Circus on a chain
Check out this amazing necklace design by Etsy seller Jamie Noel. It spins to let you choose one of four different upper bodies, and one of four different sets of legs. The pictures all came from vintage circus posters. It makes me itch to try something like this out!!!

Also....
I would LOVE to learn how to do this:
I have recently rediscovered pop-up books and can't believe how involved and detailed some of them have gotten.
Here is the website of my favorite pop-up book creator. He does some amazing things with paper!

So I'm starting a blog....
Years after everyone else has already jumped on the blog bandwagon, I've decided to start my very own blog. I don't know if anyone will see it or read or enjoy it, but I think I will enjoy working on it.
After 25 years of life, I have come to the realization that I am not really who I thought I'd be. I've always felt like a creative person, but being also a safe person and a person good with organization, math, and other boring stuff, I've landed in a job that does not always necessarily lend itself to much creativity. I am a media planner at an advertising agency in Atlanta. It is a lot of work, takes a lot of time, but I do enjoy it. I just have realized recently (call it a quarter-life crisis??) that I need to have other things in my life that will balance me out and add some happiness and creativity. It will probably seem as though I am trying to do too many different things as I go through this blog- I have decided that I am going to learn to crochet (eventually, I really really want to be able to do Amigurumi- little Japanese style crocheted animals), make jewelry, improve on painting, play guitar, spend more time doing one of my all-time favorite things, playing video games (will I EVER finish Twilight Princess???), read more, and improve my cooking and baking. All this means that I probably will be watching much less television...
This may all seem like a sudden and drastic life realization- and it is. Certain events have happened in my life recently that made me realize that I need to incorporate these things into my life.
Anyways, I will update this blog with the successes and failures of my endeavors.
